1. Eligibility Criteria

Admission to ITI courses is governed by the rules and guidelines prescribed by the Directorate General of Training (DGT), NCVT/SCVT, and the institute management. Applicants must have passed the minimum educational qualification prescribed for the respective trade, generally 10th standard or equivalent, from a recognized board. The candidate should meet the age criteria specified by the government at the time of admission. Admission is usually based on merit, as per marks obtained in the qualifying examination, and subject to the availability of seats in the chosen trade.

Candidates seeking admission are required to submit duly filled application forms along with necessary documents such as marks cards, transfer certificate, caste certificate (if applicable), income certificate (if applicable), Aadhaar card, passport-size photographs, and any other documents prescribed by the institute or admission authority. All original documents must be produced for verification at the time of admission. Admission once granted is provisional and will be confirmed only after verification and approval by the competent authority.

Admitted trainees are expected to strictly follow the institute rules and code of conduct. Regular attendance in both theory and practical classes is mandatory, and trainees must adhere to discipline, safety norms, and workshop regulations. Fees once paid are generally non-refundable, except as per institutional or government norms. Any form of misrepresentation, misconduct, or violation of rules may lead to cancellation of admission. The decision of Ghousia Industrial Training Institute management in matters related to admission shall be final and binding.

2. Application & Admission Process

1. The admission application should be filled completely and correctly in the prescribed form.

2. All information provided must be authentic; providing false documents or data will lead to cancellation of admission.

3. Admission is confirmed only after:

  • Document verification,

  • Payment of prescribed fees,

  • Issuing of admission order / receipt.

4. Admissions are strictly based on government norms, availability of seats, and merit.

5. Management quota seats (where applicable) will follow institutional guidelines issued by Directorate General of Training (DGT).

3. Documents Required

Applicants must submit the following documents at the time of admission to ITI courses:

For First Year ITI (New Admissions)

  • Original 10th Standard Marks Card (as prescribed for the trade)

  • Transfer Certificate (TC) from the last institution attended

  • Caste Certificate (if applicable)

  • Income Certificate (if applicable)

  • Aadhaar Card (photocopy)

  • 4 passport-size photographs

For Second Year ITI (Lateral Entry / Transfer Admissions, if applicable)

  • First Year ITI Marks Card / relevant qualification certificate

  • Transfer Certificate (TC) and Conduct Certificate

  • Trade/Study Certificate (if required)

  • Aadhaar Card (photocopy)

  • 4 passport-size photographs

All original documents must be produced for verification at the time of admission. Admission is subject to eligibility, availability of seats, and approval by the competent authority as per ITI admission norms.

4. Fee Regulations

1. Fee structure is as approved by the college management.

2. Fees must be paid on or before the due dates; late payment may attract fines.

3. Fees once paid are non-refundable except under special situations permitted by management norms.

4. Breakage or loss of college property must be compensated by the student.

5. Attendance & Academic Requirements

1. Students must maintain a minimum of 75% attendance in each subject as per Directorate General of Training (DGT).

2. Students must appear for all:

  • Unit tests

  • Mid-term exams

  • Preparatory exams

  • Practical exams

3. Poor attendance or failure to attend internal assessments may lead to withholding of exam eligibility.

6. Conduct & Discipline

1. Students must adhere to the discipline and code of conduct of the institution.

2. Wearing the prescribed uniform is compulsory on all working days.

3. Use of mobile phones inside the campus is strictly prohibited unless permitted for academic purposes.

4. Any involvement in:

  • Ragging

  • Bullying

  • Misconduct

  • Damage to property
    will lead to strict disciplinary action as per college and government regulations.

5. Respectful behaviour towards teachers, staff, and peers is mandatory.

7. Campus Guidelines

1. Students must carry their college ID cards at all times.

2. Loitering outside classrooms during class hours is not allowed.

3. Participation in academic, cultural, and sports activities is encouraged; attendance rules still apply.

4. Cleanliness of campus, classrooms, and laboratories must be maintained.

8. Laboratory & Library Rules

Laboratories (Science, Computer, Home Science, etc.):

  • Follow all safety rules and teacher instructions.

  • Handle equipment responsibly; damages may lead to fines.

Library:

  • Maintain silence.

  • Return borrowed books on or before the due date.

  • Lost books must be replaced or paid for.

9. Parent/Guardian Responsibilities

1. Parents must attend PTM (Parent-Teacher Meetings) regularly.

2. They must update the college on change of phone number or address.

3. They are advised to monitor the student’s:

  • Attendance

  • Academic progress

  • Behaviour

10. Cancellation of Admission

Admission may be cancelled for the following reasons:

  • Submission of fake documents

  • Indiscipline or repeated misconduct

  • Non-payment of fees within the stipulated time

  • Attendance below rules prescribed by Directorate General of Training (DGT).

  • Violating college regulations
